I've got one seriously bad headcold going this weekend.
Luckily Tammi said she would cook the meatloafs for the birthday party tonight. And Bonnie told Tammi she would help too. Thank goodness!
I can't lay down or my head fills like it will explode, so decided I would piddle around on the fairy house awhile.
I was wondering if I would be able to get some color in this village, with all the natural stuff I want to use. (I've got to have some color and glitz) But I don't think I'll have a problem after doing this livingroom wall. I wallpapered it in some silk fall leaves. The other walls are little sticks glued on (taking forever).
Last weekend we cleaned up the yards and put things away for the winter. Angie brought the waterfalls in from outside that I'm going to use in the fairy village. It's bigger than I remembered, but it will do. We also discovered that it got a crack in it from the cold last winter. So it will need fake water.
Think I'm going to go soak in a hot steamy bath. Maybe that will help clear my head.

Our new project
I know it's been quite awhile. Was spending a lot of time on Facebook lately. I thought you all might like to see the progress of a project that my granddaughter and I have taken on.
OUR FAIRYLAND!!
My son Tom gave this dollhouse kit to me several years ago and I never did get anything done with it. UNTIL NOW! Kelly (my granddaughter) and I have decided to build a fairy garden, not just a little spot outdoors but a big one for in the house, so we can play with it year round. I asked my Hubby if he could build us a 4'x8' platform and he got it all done by the time I got home from work on Friday. Kelly started gluing some sticks onto the walls of the dollhouse (because fairies live in houses made of what they find in nature). So this won't be your typical looking dollhouse when we get done. and it will be the first of several houses we get to make. My daughter Angie is cleaning up an old waterfall that I had in the garden outside and we're bringing it in to use in our fairy land too. The pump had quit working and I think I can make fake resin water if I can't get the pump working again. This will be a fun winter project for us. I'll keep you posted on some projects completed.
