I made this fireplace to go in one of my fairy houses. It's just made with a chunk of styrofoam that Kelly painted black for me. Then I tore up one of those cardboard drink carriers into small pieces & glued them onto the styrofoam. Glued on a strip of wood for a mantel and used some scrapbook paper that looked like old brick for the bottom. I dry brushed a bit of black onto the stones too. I know it's too tall that's why I left some at the top unfinished. It will be cut to the right size. As soon as the cork dries that I put down on the floor, I will be able to put it in place. I need to work on this project a little more often. I think I need a picture to hang above the mantel.</span><br />

<br />
Luckily Tammi said she would cook the meatloafs for the birthday party tonight. And Bonnie told Tammi she would help too. Thank goodness!<br />
<br />
I can't lay down or my head fills like it will explode, so decided I would piddle around on the fairy house awhile.<br />
<br />
I was wondering if I would be able to get some color in this village, with all the natural stuff I want to use. (I've got to have some color and glitz) But I don't think I'll have a problem after doing this livingroom wall. I wallpapered it in some silk fall leaves. The other walls are little sticks glued on (taking forever).<br />
<br />
Last weekend we cleaned up the yards and put things away for the winter. Angie brought the waterfalls in from outside that I'm going to use in the fairy village. It's bigger than I remembered, but it will do. We also discovered that it got a crack in it from the cold last winter. So it will need fake water.<br />
<br />
Think I'm going to go soak in a hot steamy bath. Maybe that will help clear my head. <br />

Was spending a lot of time on Facebook lately. I thought you all might like to see the progress of a project that my granddaughter and I have taken on. </i><br />
<i><br /></i>
<i>OUR FAIRYLAND!!</i><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPAMLVc-KvMc_8B3Jjd0ReT84SV9lJ5zYqrVkVYKU-Nc9h9VVNak1X8VnqLOi5on7HmBSvB22rGeO4eI8LufHCNtYjXLmYKpXYubVxrgBzv3vdSV4GaXUtWC0Vfxf8aX1ZyIJrGtXzM9U/s1600/FAIRY+GARDEN+PROJECT.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPAMLVc-KvMc_8B3Jjd0ReT84SV9lJ5zYqrVkVYKU-Nc9h9VVNak1X8VnqLOi5on7HmBSvB22rGeO4eI8LufHCNtYjXLmYKpXYubVxrgBzv3vdSV4GaXUtWC0Vfxf8aX1ZyIJrGtXzM9U/s1600/FAIRY+GARDEN+PROJECT.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>

UNTIL NOW! Kelly (my granddaughter) and I have decided to build a fairy garden, not just a little spot outdoors but a big one for in the house, so we can play with it year round. I asked my Hubby if he could build us a 4'x8' platform and he got it all done by the time I got home from work on Friday. Kelly started gluing some sticks onto the walls of the dollhouse (because fairies live in houses made of w</span><span class="text_exposed_show" style="background-color: white; color: #141823; display: inline; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.3199996948242px;">hat they find in nature).So this won't be your typical looking dollhouse when we get done. and it will be the first of several houses we get to make. My daughter Angie is cleaning up an old waterfall that I had in the garden outside and we're bringing it in to use in our fairy land too. The pump had quit working and I think I can make fake resin water if I can't get the pump working again. This will be a fun winter project for us. I'll keep you posted on some projects completed. </span><br />

I thought that was a pretty good idea. So my word for this year will be <span style="color: red;">E N J O Y</span>. I am going to spend less time worrying, fretting and making do. I plan on making time for myself and doing things and getting things that I <span style="color: red;">enjoy</span>. <br />
<br />
<br />
I haven't been posting much lately because a few years back I took a full time and a part time job. I work in the front office at a worksite for adult disabled. I also drive a van that goes to their houses and takes them to and from their work. I love my jobs and <span style="color: red;">enjoy</span> all of the clients, but spending 10 or more hours a day at work put a halt to about everything else.<br />
<br />
I also helped my grandson with his schoolwork last year because his folks wanted to start homeschooling him. I told them I would help him get started. It took us awhile to get things figured out. I say US because it was a learning experience for us both. I didn't know how out-of-date I was till we were studying some math problems or trying how to do a Powerpoint presentation.LOL. I would come home after work and help him with his studies until his parents came to pick him up after they finished their jobs. This year he is doing it mostly by himself. He studies at home during the day while his Dad sleeps ( he went on 3rd shift so one of the parents would be home at all times) and when his Mom gets home they check his work and send it out. Now our time spent together is for doing things more <span style="color: red;">enjoy</span>able.<br />
<br />
I plan on spending less time at work and more time on fun stuff this year too. My husband decided that he had extra time now that he was retired from his factory job. He is going to drive my van route. He drove his first route today. The clients seemed to be okay with it as long as they knew that I would still be at work during the day. <br />
<br />
I have lots of plans whirling around in my head for projects that I want to do in my house and I need to get my flower gardens back in shape. I am so excited. I haven't <span style="color: red;">enjoy</span>ed myself this much in a long time. I should have more things to post about now too.<br />
<br />
The first thing I want to tell you about is a Christmas present I received from my Hubby that I really <span style="color: red;">enjoy</span>.<br />
<br />
Do you know what it is?<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghamAXoYaIqcqPVWekyDSIGpZvbrPLS8YEZL0PFPVW8UDBcy2X8GGAd-LlilCH0i4oaSuyYPLdPuXYR6DtcKMNICJpFDtPfXCwqluilWmbgJjbuahbDOSR-WwjMQzZYr7Z57j71348cFA/s1600/xmas+2012+and+meter+029.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" eea="true" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghamAXoYaIqcqPVWekyDSIGpZvbrPLS8YEZL0PFPVW8UDBcy2X8GGAd-LlilCH0i4oaSuyYPLdPuXYR6DtcKMNICJpFDtPfXCwqluilWmbgJjbuahbDOSR-WwjMQzZYr7Z57j71348cFA/s320/xmas+2012+and+meter+029.JPG" width="232" /></a><br />
It's a <span style="color: blue;">PARKING METER</span>!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXO5wKreUkAISkZL-JR13Vr-DCfkBYiJbOcqe6iRPAj2liCKdNhIahz8TK3bjHbQhzHso0iJ60mP-E3Ddqs516zi7uttLzxkYvIgKpygJE08jRSg3m3ck19kOUarJr_BwG50_qzZZxvng/s1600/1189R-3035.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" eea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXO5wKreUkAISkZL-JR13Vr-DCfkBYiJbOcqe6iRPAj2liCKdNhIahz8TK3bjHbQhzHso0iJ60mP-E3Ddqs516zi7uttLzxkYvIgKpygJE08jRSg3m3ck19kOUarJr_BwG50_qzZZxvng/s1600/1189R-3035.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
There would be one placed at every parking space along the road in town. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDZSHo_Ze3KL7oKyKp26VJMKIHuNv4O52X71perqZepeb5Gmv58-wIrxs3haMeg9H909H2nOSv3LZC_87BbSxIuJQZPj6RFdskgdaAg3aXBfnO6eKYHRlzJtK1blpVQYrccl2cyWQyDqE/s1600/xmas+2012+and+meter+031.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" eea="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDZSHo_Ze3KL7oKyKp26VJMKIHuNv4O52X71perqZepeb5Gmv58-wIrxs3haMeg9H909H2nOSv3LZC_87BbSxIuJQZPj6RFdskgdaAg3aXBfnO6eKYHRlzJtK1blpVQYrccl2cyWQyDqE/s320/xmas+2012+and+meter+031.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
You would have to put a coin in the slot- penny, nickle or dime. The more change you put in, the more time you had to be parked there. Then you turned the handle and it would register the amount of time on the top. <br />
<br />
When that time was up......<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGRWhCeAqGVETJBoV-UvRoaGSqYluGo3MNBEqQZ2nAm0WvPFGVVUOeDtyiLzfcqHlLfzji7Y3rDAG6tD3w1GxqASY64kz1M-fvncBRTgLvGae4FmAtrnaKnuCLVyVOXutfZt4N6ae7lFM/s1600/xmas+2012+and+meter+034.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" eea="true" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGRWhCeAqGVETJBoV-UvRoaGSqYluGo3MNBEqQZ2nAm0WvPFGVVUOeDtyiLzfcqHlLfzji7Y3rDAG6tD3w1GxqASY64kz1M-fvncBRTgLvGae4FmAtrnaKnuCLVyVOXutfZt4N6ae7lFM/s320/xmas+2012+and+meter+034.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
you were to remove your car from that spot or the police would give you a parking ticket.<br />
<br />
I could not believe that none of my grandkids had ever seen one of these!<br />
<br />
They've been removed from all the little towns around here. There are only a few left in the uptown area of the bigger city of Ft. Wayne and we very seldom go to the center of that town. So I can see why the grandkids were clueless. Funny...I never thought that someday I would be able to say, "I remember when there were cassette tapes, bell-bottom pants, record players, black & white TV, party lines and parking meters" and no one knew what I was talking about. Really?!!<br />
<br />
Hubby and I are Junkies! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZq4gBZyQFOxc9m_nIKgMreWrKCcAL0ThkgjqI7SWyR-VEMhBfHXcfNBdNHBK3gI8Vn55yBKzmMYEdhe9bmdkl9QFDSx4JeBArcGG9gnpxYtmpFDFcSHKo-tfPiKiqXLasp60aO0BlpNE/s1600/xmas+2012+and+meter+025.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" eea="true" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZq4gBZyQFOxc9m_nIKgMreWrKCcAL0ThkgjqI7SWyR-VEMhBfHXcfNBdNHBK3gI8Vn55yBKzmMYEdhe9bmdkl9QFDSx4JeBArcGG9gnpxYtmpFDFcSHKo-tfPiKiqXLasp60aO0BlpNE/s320/xmas+2012+and+meter+025.JPG" width="287" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
We <span style="color: red;">enjoy</span> going to antique stores, flea markets, garage sales and auctions to hunt for the unusual. Usually those things get stuck in a box and hid away until we happen to rummage across them one day. But I plan on changing that. We are going to get those things out so everyone else can <span style="color: red;">enjoy</span> them too. <br />
<br />
Now where do I start?<br />
<br />
How about the kitchen? Yeah! I'm off to do some think'n.<br />
<br />

A <strike>couple</strike> few weeks ago, I won this adorable little fella from a giveaway that Angi hosted on her blog, <a href="http://drakestoneprimitivescountrycabin.blogspot.ca/">Drakestone Primitives</a>.<br />
He is so much cuter than I even thought he might be and Angi made it herself. He is only about 5" tall, just the right size to tuck amongst my old tins. I think he looks quite happy in his new surroundings. Thank you Angi!!<br />
<br />

You need to go visit Angi's blog. She has more of these Attic Bears for sale and some lovely prim Heirloom Santas too. She also sells patterns for prim dolls and prairie bonnets. I'm sure you would enjoy just looking at all of her prim goodies.<br />
<br />
I don't know about you, but I think that time is flying right by lately. Seems like it was just Halloween a couple of weeks ago. Then Thanksgiving snuck in real quick and now it's almost December. Am I getting so old that my sense of time is slipping away or is it that I'm finally starting to realize that on this next birthday coming up in a couple of weeks, that I'm just not young anymore? Being a Grandma didn't bother me, 40 didn't bother me, 50 didn't bother me, even 60 didn't bother me. But when I went to sign up for Social Security...KaBammm! What the He**! I don't feel any different so how can I be OLD!??!!? {sigh} <br />

I would like to give my blessings to all of our veterans for their help in keeping our homes safe!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_LXXTLUykjx8evUcX8ZIay30HGlDV60rUfWlCOKsaSYU669_MY7fb6Q7NXE3wNrc0g7FqMorWyoLxzQbMrhHz4Vd8xlr-3vmX0_WvKYgfsxmjvFOll3RrQ6_dp8xxhmy8r3E1C_qx-CA/s1600/vintage-american-flag-little-boy-memorial-day.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" rea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_LXXTLUykjx8evUcX8ZIay30HGlDV60rUfWlCOKsaSYU669_MY7fb6Q7NXE3wNrc0g7FqMorWyoLxzQbMrhHz4Vd8xlr-3vmX0_WvKYgfsxmjvFOll3RrQ6_dp8xxhmy8r3E1C_qx-CA/s320/vintage-american-flag-little-boy-memorial-day.jpg" width="210" /></a></div>
Remember the room that I was going to turn into a craftroom and then decided that I need a pantry to store all of my canned goods instead? Well, it is almost finished. I couldn't wait to show you it any longer. I still have a few things that I want to do to it, but here is what is done so far...<br />
When you first come into the room (the kitchen is just through that doorway) I have a desk that I keep all my bottles of oils, vinegars and such. Next to that is a file cabinet that I hope to put all of my recipes, cookbooks & craft books in. That's a project for in the future. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirxPGFki0JRklr8UXBnABEkb2nl9spuc8OWz6kzDA9CljyLbbqDY4tNzoXR9ZwHyFrndIQNEleD7q-68I7YbUssBqi8oCFwdkUguPzxoyDc8k1Gm_sD4nHlJc93VaM2_RgxuHao0ImeOY/s1600/halloween+2012+066.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" rea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirxPGFki0JRklr8UXBnABEkb2nl9spuc8OWz6kzDA9CljyLbbqDY4tNzoXR9ZwHyFrndIQNEleD7q-68I7YbUssBqi8oCFwdkUguPzxoyDc8k1Gm_sD4nHlJc93VaM2_RgxuHao0ImeOY/s320/halloween+2012+066.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
Then I went to the basement and found these old cabinets. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiH2ENODJjRGIGHZ_hCHvMiXT9ASFRNK37RfjV4HvgshKmn2RvA20h6AY4HSRpJtq9BajJmHlzPyXapqWZmT-UEyqeXIh9zghMjlvxXL8mtJew0exF1iLZa9-a4e4ZHzdLHsAEW9CkABM/s1600/halloween+2012+069.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" rea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiH2ENODJjRGIGHZ_hCHvMiXT9ASFRNK37RfjV4HvgshKmn2RvA20h6AY4HSRpJtq9BajJmHlzPyXapqWZmT-UEyqeXIh9zghMjlvxXL8mtJew0exF1iLZa9-a4e4ZHzdLHsAEW9CkABM/s320/halloween+2012+069.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
We drug them upstairs from out of the basement, dusted them off and fixed a couple of shelves. The tall one is a cabinet that my Hubby's relative had made to store his food goods in years ago. Hubby & Zack had to cut about a foot off of the bottom of it because of some water damage. The other cabinet I had bought at an auction several years ago. I love the old latch on the doors.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8lKM-Fs8em7m1JgiiACtmTapzf2oFzMUxRro-xFfQ21iWnzPBGZ0wQkic6bUmotaURc6D94GuJ1EQMjusa3biWMYEQMMnt9MmQ5LfyccqU3aGa3kPpQUMdpBs9-wsVw-XwthiVwjp_Qw/s1600/halloween+2012+068.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" rea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8lKM-Fs8em7m1JgiiACtmTapzf2oFzMUxRro-xFfQ21iWnzPBGZ0wQkic6bUmotaURc6D94GuJ1EQMjusa3biWMYEQMMnt9MmQ5LfyccqU3aGa3kPpQUMdpBs9-wsVw-XwthiVwjp_Qw/s320/halloween+2012+068.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
It has a panel of glass missing from one of the doors. So I'm going to remove the other glass and make some curtains to go there instead. My daughters think I should paint them to match the furniture that I painted on the other side of the room, but I kind of like the rustic look for now. (just noticed that I haven't got the oats that I just bought today, put in a mason jar yet. whoops). I also found a letter holder that I was planning on painting some day. But I just attached it to the side of the tall cabinet to put my small packages of gravy mixes and such.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0TXi8H237lFfBt6aDZYrfZSp591GHIki49GtDjFSJFKxCpu1-EgSOpwppKtStDElekm7ibo5RHN3FF_tMoAUzyegkhXg_5qpoavL110-YOYxXKNe6kvbtPYgzNRN9nNQqXjVB9FfhjOg/s1600/halloween+2012+070.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" rea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0TXi8H237lFfBt6aDZYrfZSp591GHIki49GtDjFSJFKxCpu1-EgSOpwppKtStDElekm7ibo5RHN3FF_tMoAUzyegkhXg_5qpoavL110-YOYxXKNe6kvbtPYgzNRN9nNQqXjVB9FfhjOg/s320/halloween+2012+070.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
On the other side of the room is a big cabinet that I got awhile back. I've actually got two of them. The other one is still in my livingroom. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMinTa0Ey_E63q0cErDe6jZ4BH8gwe8wI8m9v5AIsIYk21RXYCQZjsXkbUhWB5KR7t3upD-2lKEEfB19T8v6gVpZPurDh7JcfbzShzAsKVqLnW80zAzmQLWDRvHCgWak_yTZ8PkaFHEB8/s1600/halloween+2012+072.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" rea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMinTa0Ey_E63q0cErDe6jZ4BH8gwe8wI8m9v5AIsIYk21RXYCQZjsXkbUhWB5KR7t3upD-2lKEEfB19T8v6gVpZPurDh7JcfbzShzAsKVqLnW80zAzmQLWDRvHCgWak_yTZ8PkaFHEB8/s320/halloween+2012+072.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
That baby is HEAVY and none of them want to ever move it again. LOL<br />
The drawers have the boxes of trash bags, tin foil, sandwich bags, paper plates and things like that in them. I have room for almost all of my pantry items now AND I still can have some of my craft supplies in there.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieQfPC08oZbEtuS7A5D-f2HKYIVD8i8IdRPUBl3Ac3P4exDBjy9FMbJalofIiBrjXQs7iWxVgXJcs0lNvddWNk0Vo_UyVNlCB3jn-2d_VyIcZIdYpchZeBGV4l-T0TnxOPfyqevgxBMX4/s1600/halloween+2012+075.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" rea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieQfPC08oZbEtuS7A5D-f2HKYIVD8i8IdRPUBl3Ac3P4exDBjy9FMbJalofIiBrjXQs7iWxVgXJcs0lNvddWNk0Vo_UyVNlCB3jn-2d_VyIcZIdYpchZeBGV4l-T0TnxOPfyqevgxBMX4/s320/halloween+2012+075.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
When Tammi and I first started fixing this room up, we had built this table onto the side of an old buffet. I still have some staining to do on the doors and table. But I can move my monitor and keyboard on top of my printer and still have lots of room for my sewing machine when I need it.<br />

There's another table for cutting or painting or for the grandkids to work on their science projects.</div>

I still have some pictures to hang on the walls and curtains to make using the material in the chair. And I do want to make slipcovers and paint the chair white someday. But I'm really likin' what we've done so far.</div>

I'm not sure what kind of decorating style that I have. I really like the farmhouse rustic look. But I always mix it with colors that are a bit out of the ordinary.</div>

I didn't see where it was so I just kept taking sacks into the house. Each time I would go outside I would hear the cat again and he sounded strange. When I went inside for the last time, I asked Kelly if she would go outside with me and see if we could find where the kitty was. We looked around for a bit, he kept meowing and then Kelly looked up. There he was in one of our huge pine trees, pacing back & forth on one of the limbs. Poor kitty, he was so scared. We found the tallest ladder that we had at home and it wasn't even close to reaching him. So I called my son and told him what happened. He was at his house with my Hubby building a new garage, and that was where the taller ladders were. They said they would get him him down when they finished what they were doing. We thought the poor thing was going to be stranded for a few more hours, but it was just a short time later that my daughter and my other two grandkids came over. Kelly showed them where the kitty was and they came up with this plan. LOL<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiO5UCISrcNB4c5RAB_Hw3kZjye9f3CdT6RHJTgsrWebDXHPK6NTi9sDXCSobkUlTjw2wiFkxXUHhTqYO5giW_eT0r4WKNJSQkvI4ZGO3I90FgjPwSHUb22S3N7xd7DEdrQF2lKv1IbYn0/s1600/cat+in+tree+003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" nea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiO5UCISrcNB4c5RAB_Hw3kZjye9f3CdT6RHJTgsrWebDXHPK6NTi9sDXCSobkUlTjw2wiFkxXUHhTqYO5giW_eT0r4WKNJSQkvI4ZGO3I90FgjPwSHUb22S3N7xd7DEdrQF2lKv1IbYn0/s640/cat+in+tree+003.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
The grandkids got an old blanket that they could hold in case he fell. Tammi got the leaf catcher net for the pool. They put a little cat food in the net, hoping the cat would just go into it, but he wouldn't go for that. Tammi ended up having to push him out of the tree with the net. When that cat hit the blanket, he was out of there in one hop and high-tailed it away.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo3qremLH3k2AWUeqsHqkZ7JZqUzDM4DGHnbwAO2fz9u2Q97gRJmrPAaxUylsNw18I1dCAmfK8zy-B9W-OL7pWwfFse-VDul7J9eFLQx2U6Lwb_2MkMfp20SxlbTPn-V30jmIUZ-ZwmXU/s1600/cat+in+tree+007.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" nea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo3qremLH3k2AWUeqsHqkZ7JZqUzDM4DGHnbwAO2fz9u2Q97gRJmrPAaxUylsNw18I1dCAmfK8zy-B9W-OL7pWwfFse-VDul7J9eFLQx2U6Lwb_2MkMfp20SxlbTPn-V30jmIUZ-ZwmXU/s640/cat+in+tree+007.jpg" width="546" /></a></div>
I was laughing so much that it was hard to keep the camera still. Hubby and Tom were glad to hear that they didn't have to haul the ladders home. <br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
THEY ALL SAVED THE DAY !!</div>

I THOUGHT THE DATE THIS YEAR WAS VERY INTERESTING... 10-11-12 and Kelly will turn 13! SPOOKY! LOLAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07901985293961748895noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7279995884774040147.post-50810688597480708062012-10-06T23:09:00.002-04:002012-10-08T00:51:35.342-04:00My latest passion is for CANNINGI have been EXTREMELY busy this year with canning and freezing. Although I have canned for many years, this year we have gone all out! My eldest daughter, my Mom and I have been canning our old regular recipes (salsa, tomato sauce, applesauce , etc) and trying a few different things. <br />
My Uncle Bert gets tons of potatoes from a farmer that grows potatoes to sell to restaurants... for free. He then donates them to churches and food banks. He graciously let my family come and get some too. I brought home over 5 bushels. I think we spent a whole week mashing, cutting into hash browns or french fries, deep frying part done and freezing. I even tried canning a few quarts. We have already ate some of the mashed and the french fries. They were DELICIOUS!!<br />
One of the recipes that I have to can every year is one that I got from my sister-in-law a couple years back. Sweet Pickle Relish made from zucchini. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPr2tpLAwOJctG3R_YX8fC3-SrEHui9znN7BNGGqmc7wRtnOB8BJtrt3pFkFy3A_Dg_6Fb8ztuBIQABGilpOls6bgYuNjdZJfIvtQmavyYA3JWbp-vPHOmupfEbXUFGZyXOS3FErMjFZ8/s1600/Picture.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" mea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPr2tpLAwOJctG3R_YX8fC3-SrEHui9znN7BNGGqmc7wRtnOB8BJtrt3pFkFy3A_Dg_6Fb8ztuBIQABGilpOls6bgYuNjdZJfIvtQmavyYA3JWbp-vPHOmupfEbXUFGZyXOS3FErMjFZ8/s320/Picture.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Here is the recipe:<br />
<br />
SWEET ZUCCHINI RELISH<br />
<br />
10 c. zucchini, ground<br />
4 c. onion, ground<br />
2 large green peppers, ground<br />
5 Tb. salt<br />
Let stand overnight (refrigerate)<br />
<br />
Add: <br />
1 Tb. mustard seed<br />
1 Tb. celery seed<br />
1 Tb. turmeric<br />
1/2 tsp. pepper<br />
5 c. sugar<br />
2 1/2 c. apple cider vinegar<br />
<br />
Bring to a boil - 10 min.<br />
Add 2 Tb. cornstarch, dissolved.<br />
Boil 4-5 more minutes. Stirring regularly (Tip: If you use a white plastic spoon, it will permanently stain it green, LOL)<br />
Put in jars. Hot water bath for 10 min.<br />
Makes 7 pints<br />
<br />
I like to can mine in 1/2 pints because we don't use it that often. But we can't hardly eat a hotdog now without some of this relish on it and it's really good added to chicken salad.<br />
The instructions are pretty straight-and-to-the-point. If you're going to try and make this and need some more explanations, please send me an email or a comment and I will get back with you.<br />
<br />
Except for a few more raspberries, the garden has been all cleaned up and is ready for winter. Now I will spend some time canning things like "Meals in a Jar", homemade soups or chicken. Or maybe I will get lucky again and have a friend bring me over some deer meat to can.<br />
I will have lots more room for all my canned goods soon. Remember that craft room that I was going to show you? <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAw0MXfshRlYn-u8VDdASO0_fuJUp-p5pGnTTxqfb_FwC22ewWNkAWo-M-ATOPEcEcd6DSnR8IxOr0iea8F7Szk0p2-iakaOT1oRm_FFbBZ8ngkhDQKJ_W3NaKuvvukYxAXKk2YtARWtc/s1600/graphics+1+031.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" mea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAw0MXfshRlYn-u8VDdASO0_fuJUp-p5pGnTTxqfb_FwC22ewWNkAWo-M-ATOPEcEcd6DSnR8IxOr0iea8F7Szk0p2-iakaOT1oRm_FFbBZ8ngkhDQKJ_W3NaKuvvukYxAXKk2YtARWtc/s320/graphics+1+031.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Well now it's getting turned into a pantry! PERFECT! This room is situated right off the kitchen and will be so handy! Can you tell how excited I am? I'm going to be installing the shelving in the next couple of days. Since I haven't been doing much crafting lately, it makes so much more sense to make this room the best ever pantry.<br />

I joined Wendy's Bunny Hop Swap over at her blog, <a href="http://ravenwoodwhimzies.blogspot.com/">Ravenwood Whimzies</a>. <br />
My partner was Linda from <a href="http://theoldehomestead.blogspot.com/">The Olde Homestead</a>. She just started blogging not to long ago. I'm sure she would like you to go visit her.<br />
This is the wonderful bunny that I received from her.<br />

<br />
Isn't he just the greatest?<br />
And I also received some tarts for my tart warmer and they smell sooooo good!<br />
The littlest bunny got put on my desk at work. I really love everything that she sent to me.<br />
This will be my fella's permanent home all year long. (ignore the dirty window please! It's still too darn cold out to wash windows)<br />

My daughter Tammi and I have been doing some work around my house. My upstairs used to be 5 small rooms. Now there are only 3. We took a wall down between a couple of the rooms and made them bigger. What an improvement!<br />
<br />
Kelly was excited to get a new room. She was getting tired of the horses I had painted on her walls before.But her Mom still liked them so they switched rooms.<br />
<br />
Kelly wanted bright colors. We went with the colors in a comforter that she liked. Now it is definitely bright and cheery!<br />
<br />
She wanted her walls to be bright green...<br />
<br />

<br />
Tammi and I took an old desk that I got at an auction and made some built in shelves and desk....<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNSdx0-NGVPqjc2shbyUBvKiarOx6ncWSYyyWiglva9qkN2KVYg8BuGgQakiIaGUz1rGEzQ7q0OJdWgyZG4nx6nPCXKTo-mkt_yOT5DRxHrnBTQAAxeyKRFFle1XjhT3tfKXTOTV2Gsn0/s1600/kel's+room+006.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" sda="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNSdx0-NGVPqjc2shbyUBvKiarOx6ncWSYyyWiglva9qkN2KVYg8BuGgQakiIaGUz1rGEzQ7q0OJdWgyZG4nx6nPCXKTo-mkt_yOT5DRxHrnBTQAAxeyKRFFle1XjhT3tfKXTOTV2Gsn0/s320/kel's+room+006.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>I'm keeping my eye out for a chair for her desk. There is also a loveseat in the corner that you can't see. It is the old one that was in our livingroom that just got replaced with new. I am going to make a slipcover for it using some sheets that match the ones on her bed. <br />
Did you notice the board going across the ceiling? That is where we tore the wall out to make the room bigger. This old farmhouse is over 100 years old and nothing is level or square. It was built like an old barn with beams that were chiseled by hand. So we had to put the board there to cover up where the two ceilings didn't match up. <br />
Now she has a room that is "FIT for a PRETEEN", don't you think?<br />
<br />

She wanted lots of bright colors. So I painted it with some of the purple from her walls and some pink, green and light blue. I knew she would have stuff sitting on her desk so I just painted some simple flowers in the corners. She was very happy with it. <br />

Now you know what I've been doing on these cold snowy days.<br />

This is a picture of one of Bonnie's barstools and Jordan's desk that I had started awhile back.<br />
<br />
I did get them all painted right before Thanksgiving, but I sent them home before I got some pictures of them.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Well I did get some pictures of Bonnie's barstools. They were a lot of fun to paint. They started out as plain black stools. I sanded them down a little and applied a gold crackle paint over the legs. Bonnie likes a very primitive look, so I distressed them a little more and then antiqued them with a wood stain.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8Mfu1kezcOBpQUXryH4wcZERGsWgNcUCPu2NFT5yXg-U21FBssQNy8acGimiu-nQhbRWI7vX0EoR-udGpwwwCJgDn1TMYld2SHVXIsXe2_-6BD2-Wvxb35MDSUwRRVWrndNlydwPN0tk/s1600/2011+006.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" rea="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8Mfu1kezcOBpQUXryH4wcZERGsWgNcUCPu2NFT5yXg-U21FBssQNy8acGimiu-nQhbRWI7vX0EoR-udGpwwwCJgDn1TMYld2SHVXIsXe2_-6BD2-Wvxb35MDSUwRRVWrndNlydwPN0tk/s320/2011+006.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And next was the tops. <br />
I haven't done any decorative painting for awhile. I guess I just got a little tired of it and started sewing instead. I seem to do that a lot...go in spurts with one craft then another. But while I was painting these stools I realized that I really miss painting. <br />
Anyways... I think you might like to see the tops, right?<br />
Bonnie likes roosters and her kitchen was just redone with reds and gold colors. You might remember the cupboards that we redid in an antique red.<br />
OK OK here are the tops of the stools.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Bonnie and my son, Tom loved them. I had to explain to Tom that I put a couple of coats of clear on them to help keep them from scratching. He wasn't going to let anyone sit on them. LOL</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I got Jordan's desk done too, but I can't find those pictures yet. I'll keep looking.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My daughter Tammi and I have redone Kelly's room too. We decided to start at the top of the house and work our way down with some very much needed updating of my home. There should be plenty of pictures to come.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My goal this year is to get some projects finished that I've started. It looks like another busy year again for me.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I hope everyone is having a great time during these holidays!</div>

I have been lurking around and once in awhile you might have noticed that I've commented on some of your blogs, but I sure have neglected my blog this time. Anyways....<br />
Today was the first day that we've all had school and work closings. Not because of the first snow that we got, but mostly because it started out as rain yesterday and that made frozen, slick roads this morning. I guess that means that ole man winter has finally arrived. Yuck! You would have thought that I could've gotten some things done around the house. But that didn't happen. I spent a lot of time picking up wet gloves and hats from the grandkids. It seems that the wet snow is packing really well and they keep going back outside to build a snow fort. I did get some peanut butter cookies made to go with the hot cocoa they enjoyed.<br />
I really have been quite busy these last couple of months. My daughter and I have remodeled Kelly's bedroom and the upstairs landing. I'll post about that soon. And I've gotten some things painted. I need to get some pictures taken and then I can tell you more about it all. So until then...<br />
Stay warm!!<br />

I know you did!! LOLI've been kinda busy! REALLY!!! But I still don't know how February & March could have come and gone so fast. <br />
<br />
My nephew was seriously hurt a couple of weeks ago and we've all been pretty worried on his outcome. He did have to have a finger amputated and will probably have some therapy for his hand. All of his other wounds seem to be healing OK so far. God had him in his prayers that evening.<br />
<br />
On to some fun stuff!<br />
I was in a Spring Swap with a few of the girls on the PrimPals forum. My partner was Casey at <a href="http://oldespoonriverhomestead.blogspot.com/">Olde Spoon River Homestead</a>. I sent her these items.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtryWa4HmidrYFX3oK_SXI0v5AFUvj-RKOV7xi3E33MFsgJIWoLOVoKfiGK12dZ_46P6LrHQQebTyT9i160JuIR9wKcqdsPd3sY2ufrhf4DsHqA8uNK6foaZCiQzHviN3rtBwxPEdv2qM/s1600/swap+003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear:left; float:left;margin-right:1em; margin-bottom:1em"><img border="0" height="240" width="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtryWa4HmidrYFX3oK_SXI0v5AFUvj-RKOV7xi3E33MFsgJIWoLOVoKfiGK12dZ_46P6LrHQQebTyT9i160JuIR9wKcqdsPd3sY2ufrhf4DsHqA8uNK6foaZCiQzHviN3rtBwxPEdv2qM/s320/swap+003.JPG" /></a></div> <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I made the embroidered lavender sachet and the button sheep. While out on some of my antiquing excursions, I found a small red painted bowl, a soy candle, a rusty bell and the penny rug. She was very pleased with what I sent her, especially the penny rug. <br />
This is what I recieved from here!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://s537.photobucket.com/albums/ff334/prim2pink/?action=view&current=swap005.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i537.photobucket.com/albums/ff334/prim2pink/swap005.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br />
<br />
<br />
Isn't everything just adorable? I loved it all! I had to make myself a cup of the Vanilla Chai tea right away. It was yummy. I didn't have a lot of Spring decorations, so I put them on display right away too! Thank you Casey ! That was a fun swap! <br />
<br />
Brenda over at <a href="http://pinetreeprims.blogspot.com/">Pine Tree Prims </a>is swapping or selling some of her items and I asked to swap for the cutest little suitcase. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZB9oZGb0WohR49PcJ6yLoAmVka9N3ESmYxXSVu3eli8soYHMLT0lt-IHEuCWN-GsuNOuuP4mPCLYwFpdBcbmw5e-mSD3oVbvmmoIigbyzZxndSJUgYWJsASaT_g60I1nKLg2PPzIGRI8/s1600/desk+001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="240" width="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZB9oZGb0WohR49PcJ6yLoAmVka9N3ESmYxXSVu3eli8soYHMLT0lt-IHEuCWN-GsuNOuuP4mPCLYwFpdBcbmw5e-mSD3oVbvmmoIigbyzZxndSJUgYWJsASaT_g60I1nKLg2PPzIGRI8/s320/desk+001.JPG" /></a></div>and I got an extra cute pincushion too.<br />
I sent her a mustard & black tablemat that I made (I forgot to take a picture, darn). It was a lot of fun. I think she still has some more things that she would like to trade or sell. Go visit her blog and check them out.<br />
<br />
I have been pretty busy these last few weeks. After everyone got over the nasty flu bug, I finished sewing the rest of the pinwheel blocks for Brenda's quilt. Now I need to figure out how I'm going to put them together.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQjmEWFGb7T8Y2PCdz4oPyrLupIsypGk4YWsU0_LZrlO0DKL2AMMopJAUQObHM6pfItpMYfRjzo_JSufw2vC41qk1LANh8QnT9h94qrIK_JLiZD9-tFzehBh67UGUg2m5vXVSraKniscc/s1600/desk+005.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="240" width="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQjmEWFGb7T8Y2PCdz4oPyrLupIsypGk4YWsU0_LZrlO0DKL2AMMopJAUQObHM6pfItpMYfRjzo_JSufw2vC41qk1LANh8QnT9h94qrIK_JLiZD9-tFzehBh67UGUg2m5vXVSraKniscc/s320/desk+005.JPG" /></a></div>I've also been doing some painting.<br />
Tom & Bonnie's hutch came out really well. She was so anxious to get started on her decorating now that the walls, cupboards & hutch are finished. Everything looks just prim perfect.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6XUUtmhKSj62c2DyLI-sjuHggMeZEmbselAavJOL1PXe4rnJGXz2Cq5s6d_sWUtOc_EkwhDc5k-DmH4em_tHLcY6gh3TOWHgrgffv1BLTLaxIphxkJxwCYwvCZIjvwaPk5RX_j2eGgYw/s1600/painting+projects+004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="320" width="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6XUUtmhKSj62c2DyLI-sjuHggMeZEmbselAavJOL1PXe4rnJGXz2Cq5s6d_sWUtOc_EkwhDc5k-DmH4em_tHLcY6gh3TOWHgrgffv1BLTLaxIphxkJxwCYwvCZIjvwaPk5RX_j2eGgYw/s320/painting+projects+004.JPG" /></a></div>Of coarse Jordan just had to be in the picture. She is our 'princess' after all.<br />
<br />
My current projects, besides trying to get caught up on all the BOMs and finishing up Brenda's quilt are these:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh41tQajou3U6A1XjzChXJstehmSuMuoMjoew_YyXbXUozU3K0fwM4F_J1-k853lJg2ICYfGTYpapiUfJjvU5UU1x_ajgPFsRPp_1Fy23I1A4O-spUdF4z7rqSlnc5ipRis7uuEa1hAFZg/s1600/painting+projects+006.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="240" width="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh41tQajou3U6A1XjzChXJstehmSuMuoMjoew_YyXbXUozU3K0fwM4F_J1-k853lJg2ICYfGTYpapiUfJjvU5UU1x_ajgPFsRPp_1Fy23I1A4O-spUdF4z7rqSlnc5ipRis7uuEa1hAFZg/s320/painting+projects+006.JPG" /></a></div><br />
Doesn't look like much yet, do they? These are the 2 barstools I want to paint for Bonnie and a small desk that I'm painting for Jordan. They're in the priming stage pictured there. Jordan is getting her bedroom redone and we have started redoing Kelly's room too. Jordon's Mom is repainting her room and she got some new white furniture too. Kelly's room is being rebuilt. We have torn out a wall between her room and another. Now her room will be twice as big. I've got lots of work ahead on that project.<br />
<br />
I hope I can keep up a little better on my posts. I'll try! I promise!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhktIpIAwHTHmPdytYpDusl4HS8s6MPjr-cXCRQ_BqygJAWhS6SX2ShF5pO864ngrf5srqbhhDG8D32nmfw2K2JN79oCdooN1fqBe_Wi8muJNElBm7xBi-4M0F_pwjGuu7mwCj13aA2wT4/s1600/46ACFB11E7A3226B804A7084EA3444E6.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear:left; float:left;margin-right:1em; margin-bottom:1em"><img border="0" height="70" width="83" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhktIpIAwHTHmPdytYpDusl4HS8s6MPjr-cXCRQ_BqygJAWhS6SX2ShF5pO864ngrf5srqbhhDG8D32nmfw2K2JN79oCdooN1fqBe_Wi8muJNElBm7xBi-4M0F_pwjGuu7mwCj13aA2wT4/s320/46ACFB11E7A3226B804A7084EA3444E6.png" /></a></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07901985293961748895noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7279995884774040147.post-26011581945193949822011-02-12T06:00:00.001-05:002011-02-12T06:00:05.119-05:00It's been one of those kinda nightsTonight is Friday Night SewIn and I had big plans a couple of days ago. Now I have a sinus cold and I'm finding it difficult to sew with watery eyes and a drippy nose. But I was determined to get something done! I wanted to work on the pinwheel quilt I'm making for my sister. So I got one of the blocks cut out and the four corner blocks sewn together. When I tried to get the pinwheel figured out it wouldn't go together right. I had sewed all four of the blocks with the orange & white fabrics in the wrong place. All of the seams had to be taken apart! Then when I sewed them back together again, I noticed that I had tore the orange fabric when I had ripped it apart on 1 of the blocks. Now I have to cut some more orange. Got them all sewed together again & was squaring them off to a 6" square and 1 of the blocks was too small! Dang, must've sewn my seam too big. Back to more ripping apart & I have to be careful this time cause I know I don't have any extra hummingbird fabric if I tear that fabric. (cough cough sneeze) Whew finally got it all sewed together! The points aren't coming together very well but I know Brenda won't care. TA DA Here it is!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-h8_BylFYU77xRR-V2z3_PrziiRr9FOASxoQHyZ2PenG-1ZpaNu7ptRmYY3iJOAtCKnhFR5GDbgoRRwEyH6JjvnrHcFaxQUTE0Jk6XYkmdTG0jflHrUy1EQF38qABka5HnoeQb5bYoSc/s1600/fnsi+005.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="240" width="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-h8_BylFYU77xRR-V2z3_PrziiRr9FOASxoQHyZ2PenG-1ZpaNu7ptRmYY3iJOAtCKnhFR5GDbgoRRwEyH6JjvnrHcFaxQUTE0Jk6XYkmdTG0jflHrUy1EQF38qABka5HnoeQb5bYoSc/s320/fnsi+005.JPG" /></a></div><br />
<br />
Now I'm exhausted!! That's it for me tonight. I'm going to write this post yet tonight and schedule it for tomorrow cause I plan on sleeping in late. I'm going to go take some cold medicine and go to bed.<br />

She let me know that she received my package and she liked it all.<br />
I think she liked the crow & sunflower spring makedo the best. She collects crow (you would know that if you checked out her blog. LOL)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9cE5oOfsI8fW9SBvqZ9_Xyy_1zgCnGq1x-yghgz01f1eEsjJmFs_e8vMbtPOJ0MWih6DcFYL5TAIeYDicG458BmA6lJ_t5rpYAciIrUFUl-K26GyHDfNvXNlH5HnNNron8jRUuj7OC4o/s1600/swap+004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear:left; float:left;margin-right:1em; margin-bottom:1em"><img border="0" height="311" width="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9cE5oOfsI8fW9SBvqZ9_Xyy_1zgCnGq1x-yghgz01f1eEsjJmFs_e8vMbtPOJ0MWih6DcFYL5TAIeYDicG458BmA6lJ_t5rpYAciIrUFUl-K26GyHDfNvXNlH5HnNNron8jRUuj7OC4o/s320/swap+004.JPG" /></a></div>I also sent a prim ladybug for the doll we were supposed to include. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
But MY favorite thing that I sent her was the candlestick.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpQka-Vb8ixdzkvtduBwfZJYBHIROul-8ehsjX-xCMr_43HEkOiDUbi8OnZV6VvEcLpQOlF-LnmRcRwSDm6jg-gbRgjz3oGyrZNCF32dmy6gaUNKGbLUM45BddR66U3lDVuSpmxghqoA8/s1600/candle+006.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear:right; float:right; margin-left:1em; margin-bottom:1em"><img border="0" height="320" width="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpQka-Vb8ixdzkvtduBwfZJYBHIROul-8ehsjX-xCMr_43HEkOiDUbi8OnZV6VvEcLpQOlF-LnmRcRwSDm6jg-gbRgjz3oGyrZNCF32dmy6gaUNKGbLUM45BddR66U3lDVuSpmxghqoA8/s320/candle+006.JPG" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
But look!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHamldtSlZ4CotQ1x6ktKMy_4fQCfpDp4wZtF9bsXgAZRoX8IlaQ8NiLhOBmeyGt6twijZy6kr2KruEQi06YfvS5-KJUnv3PTXpEDE3H7h9csFUtmwI1iN1y1-3WIVy0V0IqsPQe_Z_R0/s1600/cc+002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear:right; float:right; margin-left:1em; margin-bottom:1em"><img border="0" height="320" width="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHamldtSlZ4CotQ1x6ktKMy_4fQCfpDp4wZtF9bsXgAZRoX8IlaQ8NiLhOBmeyGt6twijZy6kr2KruEQi06YfvS5-KJUnv3PTXpEDE3H7h9csFUtmwI1iN1y1-3WIVy0V0IqsPQe_Z_R0/s320/cc+002.JPG" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I have another one that I can paint for myself!<br />
<br />
<br />
I'm glad that she liked everything and it was a very fun swap. Now I need to get some Easter Eggs done for another swap! But first...<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I have to show you what my youngest granddaughter has made on her new sewing machine.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPmKN1EjiXtLzCp10zMQJkuDGz-xJhw1seDXj5yEhs2gPAvYYGLC3CTRmvygf-47pzEpDdowrrAsRI71j_VHgR_fdAxSXdxVtv4E3GBSTqbnHUUiCgDtl3M4fMn-WW63YUSqbmiOg0FlY/s1600/swap+001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"><img border="0" height="320" width="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPmKN1EjiXtLzCp10zMQJkuDGz-xJhw1seDXj5yEhs2gPAvYYGLC3CTRmvygf-47pzEpDdowrrAsRI71j_VHgR_fdAxSXdxVtv4E3GBSTqbnHUUiCgDtl3M4fMn-WW63YUSqbmiOg0FlY/s320/swap+001.JPG" /></a></div><br />
She made a rag quilt tablemat for her Mom and a scarf for her friend at school. She was a really quick learner. My older granddaughter is learning to crochet. What is really funny is that Jordan (the youngest) was spending the night last weekend & during the night she was having a nightmare. She would keep screaming "NO NO". Finally I woke her up & asked her what was wrong. Her reply was " Gramma I was having a bad dream. I made a great big raggy quilt for the bed and when I was finished I found a mistake in the middle & I had to take it all apart". OH MY GOSH!! Now I'm giving my grandkids nightmares. Her Mom just fell on the floor laughing.<br />
Speaking of raggy quilts...I don't think I showed you the quilt I finally finished a few weeks ago. Jordan's birthday quilt!<br />

Grampy went outside today with Angie, Tammi and the grandkids & had some fun in the snow!<br />

They might be having a blast in this snow, but I'm longing for the hyacinths to be peeking out from under it.<br />
<br />
Well I think I'm going to work on those Easter eggs while I watch the end of the football game! That's the only part I like (the end) LOLAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07901985293961748895noreply@blogger.com0
